E-COMMERCE: Web Store
A manufacturer of specialty auto parts – doing most of their business via mail – wanted to boost sales by adding a presence on the internet. Information Engineering designed a Web Store that allows customers to search for a specific part, order it online and then track their order.

AUTOMOTIVE: Consolidated Import System
A major automotive manufacturer needed a streamlined method to route full-sized blueprints to its regional offices. Information Engineering responded with a customized system that enabled blueprint images to be photographed, stored and electronically routed to design engineers, production planners and other personnel at the regional offices. The system also tracks revisions and data updates, and maintains multiple document types.

PUBLIC AFFAIRS: Political Action Tracking System
A corporation wanted to assess the legislative activities of federal and state politicians to whom they made contributions. A system was developed by Information Engineering to catalog the officials’ committee activities, issue positions and votes. The system allows users to define their own queries, obtain updates on contribution/legislative activity, and generate reports in a variety of formats (text, DBF, Excel, or others).

CONSTRUCTION: Product Tracking System
A supplier of construction materials wanted a better way to generate quotes, track jobs, schedule production and process orders. A system, created by Information Engineering, integrated all aspects of the business, allowing the supplier to quickly generate product quotes for builders at the construction sites. In addition, the company can manipulate quote/order data nightly to support sales staff in organizing and tracking orders as well generating production schedules. The system also allows builders to track their orders, schedule shop loads and obtain reports via the web.

HEALTH CARE: Consumers’ Online Physician Directory
A state medical association wanted to help consumers identify qualified physicians in their neighborhoods. Information Engineering produced a web-based system that allows consumers to retrieve physician profiles based on search criteria such as medical specialty, location, last name, or languages spoken. The site also offered physicians the opportunity to review and revise their profiles and obtain updated information on insurance and other issues. Physicians can also print their profiles for distribution to patients.
